Mubychem Group, established in 1976, is the pioneer manufacturer of Chlorides including Zinc Chloride and various other chemicals in India. Mubychem Group has manufacturing facilities spread across Gujarat and Maharashtra (Western India).
Zinc Chloride is manufactured by the reaction of Zinc or Zinc Oxide with Hydrochloric Acid. The reaction is highly exothermic and it is prone to explosion. To control heat the reaction is done in a very large volume of liquor.
Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl2 + H2 and a lot of Heat.
ZnO +2HCL → ZnCl2 + H2O and a lot of Heat.
The material so produced is very high quality.
Solution of Zinc Chloride obtained by the above reaction is sent to Glass or Graphite evaporators and the thick slurry is dried in drier, preferably under vacuum.
